Karen has been teaching fitness for over 17 years, starting out in group exercise at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, where she earned a bachelor's degree in community health education. Also a former fitness director, she was in the corporate wellness field creating and implementing weight-loss programs that incorporated both fitness and nutrition to improve employees' overall health and well-being.
Karen has been an employee of be FITNESS since 2006, starting as a certified personal trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine. She has a passion for small group functional training and creating fun and challenging workouts that utilize a variety of equipment and body weight.
Her philosophy: "I won't ask anyone to do anything that I wouldn't do myself!"
