Four Tips to Help You Get Your Best Summer Body

It’s never too late to start getting in shape or lose those stubborn last few pounds. With summer in full swing, now is the perfect time to muster up the motivation you need to form healthy habits and get in the best shape of your life.

The trainers at be FITNESS are dedicated to helping you make healthy lifestyle changes through fitness and nutrition all year long, but we have four easy ways you can achieve your best summer body:



Track Your Progress

A successful workout program requires tracking and progression. Start a fitness journal where you write down your food, workouts, activity, weight and goals. Having your goals on paper right in front of you where you can see them is way more powerful than keeping them in your head.

Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate

Water is the essence of life, so drink up! It’ll help with your digestion, flexibility and overall wellness. General rule of thumb is to drink half of your body weight in ounces, so if you weigh 100 pounds, drink 50 ounces. If you get bored with plain water, spice things up by adding lemon, cucumber or other fruit.

Most Important Meal of the Day

A healthy, well-balanced breakfast is crucial to achieve your fitness goals. Start your day with whole grains, lean protein and fruits and veggies. Our trainers’ favorite breakfasts usually include eggs because they’re packed with protein.


Love What You Do

Half the struggle of working out is starting, so find something you enjoy doing so you can look forward to your workouts. If you don’t like running, you’re going to find every excuse to not go for a run, but our Group Ex schedule features some fun cardio classes that will give you the same heart-healthy benefits as running.


Life is about balance, so your best summer body should be something you can maintain throughout the year. Start small with daily goals, then bump that up to weekly goals and then monthly until it’s become your lifestyle. These changes won’t happen overnight, but with the right game plan (and the incredible trainers at be FITNESS *wink wink*), you can make this your best summer yet.
