Starting somewhere new can feel intimidating.

Walking into a new gym, figuring out where things are, deciding what class to try first—it's normal to feel a little unsure in the beginning. At be FITNESS, your first week is designed to help you get comfortable, find your routine, and realize pretty quickly that you don't have to figure it all out alone.

Here's what your first week can look like.

Your First Visit

From the moment you walk through the doors, our goal is simple: make you feel welcome.

For the best first experience, we recommend connecting with someone from Membership, who can walk you through the club, answer questions, and help you understand everything available to you. If your schedule is tight, our front desk team is always happy to give you a tour and point you in the right direction.

No awkward wandering around pretending you know where the locker rooms are. We've got you.

Try Different Classes / Formats on For Size

Your first week is the perfect time to explore.

One of the best parts of being a member at be FITNESS is the variety of classes included with your membership. Whether you're looking for strength, cardio, recovery, or just a workout that keeps you engaged, there's something for every fitness level.

You might jump into:

And the best part? You don't need to know exactly what you're doing before you start. Our instructors are there to guide you, offer modifications, and make sure you feel comfortable from the beginning.

If you prefer something a little more hard core, head to Bark River CrossFit. Expect constantly varied, functional movements done at high intensity.

Bring a Friend Along

Starting something new is always easier with someone beside you.

As a member, you receive up to two complimentary guest passes each year, making it easy to bring a friend along during your first week or anytime you want a workout partner.

Sometimes all it takes is having someone next to you to make showing up feel easier.

Work with a Trainer

Every new member also receives a complimentary 60-minute personal training session.

This is one of the best ways to start strong. During your session, a trainer will walk you through equipment, help with form, answer questions, and give you guidance based on your goals and comfort level.

Think of it less like "personal training" and more like having someone help you feel confident in the space.

Stay a While and Soak, Steam, and Relax

The workout is just the beginning.

After your class or training session, take some time to actually enjoy the facility. be FITNESS features luxury locker rooms with full amenities, so there's no need to rush out the door.

Wind down in the steam room or sauna — both are perfect for loosening up muscles and giving your body the recovery time it deserves. Feeling bold? The cold plunge is waiting. Want to feel more zen? Book a massage onsite.

This is part of what makes be FITNESS different. It's not just a place to work out — it's a place to take care of yourself, start to finish. So after you've put in the work, stay a little longer. You've earned it.

Member Perks That Go Beyond the Gym

Your membership opens more doors than you might expect.

Through new partnerships with the Beloit Club and Blonhaven Hunt Club, active be FITNESS members now have access to exclusive perks at no additional cost — from golf and dining to hunting experiences that extend well beyond the weight room.

It's our way of giving you more ways to connect, recharge, and enjoy life outside of your workouts. Take advantage of everything included with your membership.

Getting a Feel for the Community

This is usually the part people notice most.

be FITNESS is filled with people at every stage of their fitness journey. Some are just getting started. Some have been here for years. Some love Group Ex. Some live in the weight room. Some are here for yoga, pickleball, Pilates, or recovery days.

What matters is that people show up.

There's no expectation to be perfect. No pressure to have it all figured out immediately. Just an environment that makes consistency feel possible.

And once you find your rhythm here, it stops feeling like "going to the gym."

It just becomes part of your week.
